Biography
Rhiannon Gifford is a Partner at Pattison, Sampson, Ginsberg & Griffin, PLLC, where she focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation, municipal defense, Title IX, education law, and landlord-tenant matters.
Ms. Gifford has represented clients in civil rights matters, business disputes, guardianship proceedings, and appellate advocacy throughout New York State and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She has been instrumental in securing favorable court decisions across a range of matters, including summary judgment on several multimillion-dollar municipal defense claims.
Ms. Gifford serves as litigation counsel to municipalities and their law enforcement agencies, defending civil rights and Section 1983 claims in both state and federal court. She has extensive experience in Title IX matters, representing both institutions and individuals in administrative proceedings and litigation. Her practice further encompasses landlord-tenant disputes, education law, and business and corporate matters.
A graduate of Albany Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree cum laude in 2018, Ms. Gifford joined the firm as a law student intern and has built her entire legal career here. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arts Center of the Capital Region, a role she has held since 2020.
Ms. Gifford is admitted to practice in New York State, the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
